Pablo Díaz-Reixa, also known as El Guincho, is a Spanish artist, songwriter & producer born in the Canary Islands and based in Miami. His unique talent and creative vision make of his productions an awaited event. His songwriter catalog accumulates more than four billion streams on digital platforms. El Guincho is a Grammy® Award winner and a six times Latin Grammy® Award winner for his role as a composer and producer of Rosalía’s second LP El Mal Querer (Columbia, 2018) and the subsequent hits that followed: Yo x Ti, Tú x Mi, Aute Cuture, and Con Altura, last of which features him as an artist as well. In 2020 he’s been nominated for three Latin Grammy® Awards, including categories like Producer of the Year, Best Pop/Rock Song (for Dolerme – Rosalía) and Best Urban Song (for Yo x Ti, Tu x Mi – Rosalía, Ozuna).
El Guincho kicked off his career back in 2008, signing with Young Turks and XL Recordings. His debut album Alegranza (Young Turks/XL, 2008) placed him on an international spotlight, making his name known all around, whereas Pop Negro (Young Turks/XL, 2010) consolidated him as one of the world’s most exciting young producers on an international landscape. After which, and while his single Bombay was playing all around the world, he started working with Bjork on Biophilia (UMG, 2011). Following a year long worldwide tour he began producing his third album HiperAsia (Everlasting/CANADA, 2016), his most visionary work, which being ahead of its time proved his ability to create influential and inimitable music. He recently signed to North American record label Interscope (Universal Music Group).
