Biography
Hailing from Kansas, Cameron Bedell is a Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and producer known for his heartfelt songwriting and genre-spanning versatility. A graduate of Belmont University, Bedell first gained national attention as a contestant on American Idol Season 14 before making waves online with viral covers of Julia Michaels’ “Issues” and The Weeknd’s “Earned It.” As a songwriter, Bedell has penned songs for some of country music’s biggest names, including Jimmie Allen, Lainey Wilson, Hailey Whitters, Nelly, Dylan Scott, Chris Lane, Walker Hayes, and Lauren Alaina, among many others. His songwriting credits include the two-week No. 1 country hit “Down Home” by Jimmie Allen and the Top 40 hit “I’m In Love” by Hailey Whitters. He also holds a Gold Record with Australian country duo Seaforth’s “Breakups. Beyond songwriting, Bedell is a sought-after producer, working closely with rising country star Tiera Kennedy, who gained national recognition after her feature on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album.
