Sun Room
Biography
Electric Feel’s newest sign, Sun Room, is an all-male, 4 person band from southern California. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist, Luke Asgian, Ashton Mitch also on guitar, Max Pinamonti playing bass, and Thomas Rhodes on the drums. The band was originally developed over quarantine in 2020 and solidified their sound as an American surf band. Sun Room released their first four song EP, titled Sol Del Sur, followed by their second EP, titled Somewhere Tropical, the following year. The band credits TikTok for Sun Room’s initial exposure and first moments of virality along with two song placements on the hit Netflix series Outer Banks, after which they played the 2021 Austin City Limits Music Festival. In keeping with the momentum, they supported Irish band Inhaler on their first American tour in 2021, and then the European leg in 2022. The band then opened for One Direction’s previous sing-songwriter, Louis Tomlinson, on the North America and Latin American sectors of his self-titled world tour, following up with a spot on the lineup of Tomlinson’s Away From Home Festival in Spain. Sun Room headed out for their first headline tour in the US shortly after, releasing singles “Clementine” and “I Want You” along the way. After reuniting with Inhaler to support their Cuts and Bruises tour in the US and playing the Shaky Knees Music Festival, Sun Room embarked on their second headline tour of North America. Each member brings a different sound rooted in a vast number of genres, synthesizing Sun Room into a profoundly unique and enticing energy. Asgian anchors the vibes in the central surf sound, while Pinamonti brings a more classic rock/80s new wave tone, with Minnich adding some metal, and Anderson showing the soul.
